In the light of changing face of international terrorism, the European security services require additional and specialised training covering use of chemical, biological and radiological threat agents. This is the key highlight of the conference at ICI that brought together Belgium’s first responders, police, fire services and security professionals. Mr André Flahaut, Ministre du Budget et de la Fonction Publique de la Fédération Wallonie – Bruxelles, opened the day with a presentation on the necessity for investment in this area.
The Hotzone Solutions Group, a well know CBRNE training provider, exhibited for the occasion products of its own makeup as well as the products of its technology partners, such are 3DX-RAY (United Kingdom), Serstech and SAAB (Sweden). The line of products is especially suited to the needs of civilian responders dealing with potential CBRNE threats. It ranges from the threat identification to sampling, sample transport and individual protection.
