Den Haag, the Netherlands – May 24, 2019 – Hotzone Solutions BV is proud to announce that HZS has been awarded to supply equipment and training for identification and analysis of chemical products, including explosives, toxic industrial substances and precursors chemicals, to the World Customs Organization (WCO) which will be presented in Africa in 8 countries.
WCO is the only independent intergovernmental organization with competence in Customs matters.
In April, 2018, the WCO launched a new initiative for Customs administrations in the West and Central Africa specifically focusing on border-security-related challenges in this region. The objective of the Security Project in West and Central Africa (WCASP) is to assist Customs Administrations in West and Central Africa to strengthen their capacity, focusing on The Programme Global Shield (PGS) to Counter illicit trafficking and diversion of components used to manufacture Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
Through the provision of these devices, the Project will assist recipient Customs Administrations in their efforts to countering illicit trafficking and diversion of chemicals used to improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
