Build to make a distinction
Standard colorimetric tests on the market are capable of only generic detection of Nitrate or Chlorate group. The Hotzone Identifier Global Shield kit enables distinction between different salts from the same family of inorganic chemical precursors E.g. it is possible to make distinction between Calcium, Potassium and Sodium Nitrate salts. Likewise, distinction is made between Potassium and Sodium Chlorate.
Field confirmation kit for aluminium powder
Aluminium (AL) powder is used in explosive mixtures as an elemental fuel component. Examples of possible home made explosives mixtures with AL powder are ammonium nitrate based (ANAL) and flash powders (Combination with potassium chlorate.perchlorate, sulfur, magnesium, etc).
Hotzone Identifier Global Shield – AL is a portable, self-contained kit that utilizes colorimetric strip test for detection of aluminium after alkaline dissolution. The kit contains enough of the materials for large number of tests.
