The new model ComRad-1000 is an easy to use hand held metal detector with the additional function of detecting and locating radioactive substances in scanned baggage, parcels and personnel. The ComRad-1000 performs simultaneous scan for detection of metals and radioactive substances. Thus, substantially shortening the clearance time, reducing the number of instruments needed at the check point and improving the security measures.
What makes the ComRad-1000 different from alternative products on the market is the superior sensitivity of its gamma detector: the instrument is fully compliant with ANSI N42.32 standard for personal radiation detectors (PRDs) used in homeland security.
